After reading the fine print concerning the Disney Rewards Visa Credit Card T&C, at the bottom of the page, I realized they offer as one of these incentives a single buck per $100 in net acquisitions.
I have to admit that its not really a whacking great deal but it comes as no true shock either. That’s merely a 1% refund and as I’m sure you are well aware, there are many different bank cards offering this level of rebate – some rather more. I guess this is the particular reason they didn’t appear to especially advertise that part of it too much – little to shout about, is there?

The Advantages
Are there advantages of the Disney rewards visa over other credit cards? Appearing that they only give a 1% discount, I was hoping there would be some other gains to add together with the not so overwhelming rewards. While it’s a fact there are several benefits with the particular card, I do not feel they are extraordinary.
For example, they say it offers a 10% off at various dining spots at Disney, but upon browsing the fine print (once again), seemingly this doesn’t apply to Disney World which is where many people go.
The one benefit I truly loved and which would be great for us was the free stroller rentals – excellent for smaller kids, but again, this only applies to Disneyland unfortunately.
.
In Summary
It’s not that the Disney charge card isn’t good, it’s just that the actual rewards might not make sense for everybody to go and get the card. I have to admit though the APR looks good, so I applaud them for undertaking that.
If you live in California and regularly go to Disneyland instead of Disney World, then this credit card could really well be a smart choice since this is where most of the actual theme park gains seem to apply. If not, I don’t really see the actual point in applying for the Disney Benefits Visa since it merely gives you 1% back on your spending.
That is not to say however, that the choice in card design is not outstanding! So you may wish to get the card for this alone.
